Ready-to-use, alcoholic skin disinfectant. For skin disinfection prior to injections, incisions, punctures, blood withdrawals, catheter insertions and minor surgical interventions in inpatient and outpatient settings as well as private practice. In addition, the preparation can also be used for preoperative skin disinfection prior to injections, incisions, punctures, blood withdrawals, catheter insertions and minor surgical interventions. Good skin compatibility as free from persistent longterm active ingredients. Filtered free from spores.

Composition:
Contain 100 g solution: Active substance: 2-propanol 63.14 g. Other ingredients: 1,3-butanediol, odorous substances, purified water.
Fields of application:
Skin disinfection before operations, incisions, punctures and injections. Bactericide including TbB (Mycobacterium tuberculosis), levurocidal, limited virucidal. Results from in-vitro tests against BVDV and vaccinia virus allow, according to the current state of knowledge, conclusions to be drawn about the effectiveness against other enveloped viruses, e.g. HBV/HIV, HCV.
Contraindications:
Do not apply to mucous membrane or eye area. Hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients.
Interactions with other drugs:
None known.
Side effects:
Contact irritation of the skin (e.g. redness, burning) may occur, especially with frequent use. Contact allergies are also possible. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if any side effects occur.

Precautions for storage:
Alcoholic, flammable. Do not bring into contact with naked flames. Flash point: 23 °C.
Also do not use near sources of ignition. Keep medicines out of the reach of children. After spillage of the disinfectant, take immediate measures against fire and explosion. Appropriate measures are e.g. taking up the spilled liquid and diluting it with water, ventilating the room and removing ignition sources. Any decanting may only be carried out under aseptic conditions (sterile bench).
Warnings and precautions for use:
Symptoms of swallowing large quantities: Euphoria, disinhibition, coordination problems, reddened face, typical smell of the air you breathe, in severe cases coma. Measures: Gastric lavage, artificial respiration if necessary; otherwise symptomatic. Use electrical equipment only after drying up.
Expiry date:
ASEPTODERM® has a shelf life of 3 years. The expiry date is indicated on the container. Do not use this pack after this date.

The mixture does not contain substances listed for endocrine disrupting properties according to REACH Article 59(1) or has been determined not to have endocrine disrupting properties according to the criteria of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2017/2100 or Commission Regulation (EU) 2018/605. Vapors may form an explosive mixture with air.
